Welcome to the Student Services Monthly Checklist!

October Highlights: the start of the Undergraduate Academic Advising Period and preparing to register for the spring 2025 semester.

Action Items

Prepare for Undergraduate Academic Advising.

UndergraduateĀ students will be able to see theirĀ registration appointments in the blue header in EagleApps Planning and Registration no later than November 1.Ā We recommend that you run aĀ Degree AuditĀ to ensure that you are on schedule for completing all required major, Core, and elective classes.Ā 

Meet with your academic advisor (undergraduates).

On October 16, the Undergraduate Academic Advising period begins for spring registration.

Students will be contacted by their Academic Advisor, Associate Dean's office (professional schools), or the Advising Center regarding how to set up an appointment to review degree requirements and to be cleared for registration.

Review course listings for spring.

Spring 2025 course listings will be available in Course Information and ScheduleĀ beginning October 10.

Have a sibling in college? Remember to submit your Certificate of Sibling Enrollment form (if applicable).

Certificate of Sibling Enrollment forms are due October 1.Ā Visit the Financial Aid Forms page (under Supplemental Forms) for more information.

Resolve your student account (if applicable).

All student account balances must be resolved byĀ November 1Ā in order to register for spring classes. Unresolved financial aid issues, such as missing documents or IRS tax transcripts, will prohibit registration. All financial aid documentation and required forms must be submitted byĀ October 15 in order to have a package completed by registration. All fall balances must be paid in full in order to be cleared for spring study abroad programs. You can review and pay student accounts atĀ www.bc.edu/myservicesĀ ("My Bill"). (Students may also grant access to a parent or other third party by selecting the "Authorize Payers" link within My Bill.)Ā  If you still have items listed in the credits pending section of your bill, please contact Student Services to see if there are any actions needed on your part to get the funds posted to your account prior to November 1.

Enroll in QuikPAY Payment Plan (undergraduate and Law students).

Enrollment is open for the spring 2025 QuikPAY Payment Plan. For more information, visit .

Note the withdrawal deadline.

The last date for full-time undergraduate day students to drop a course in the Associate Deans' offices (with no "W" grade) is Monday, September 30.Ā The last date for full-time undergraduate day students to withdraw from a fall course with a "W" or to withdraw from the University is Monday, December 2.

Graduating in December? Verify your diploma name.

December 12 is the last date for all students graduating in December 2024 to verify their diploma names online.

Looking for a job?

Academic year job opportunities are available on theĀ Job ListingsĢż±č²¹²µ±š.ĢżFor students who have secured an on-campus job for the first time, please be sureĀ to bring forms of identification (suchĀ as but not limited to, a valid/unexpired U.S. Passport, or a combination of a valid driver's license or Eagle ID cardĀ ²¹²Ō»åĢżSocial Security card or birth certificate) inĀ originalĀ formats.Ā No pictures or photocopies will be accepted.Ā A full list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 completion can be found on theĀ .Ā International F-1 students will need to bring in their valid Foreign Passport along with their FormsĀ I-94 ²¹²Ō»åĢżI-20 and Employment Authorization Letter from the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).

Check that your financial aid has been applied to your account (if applicable).

All fall aid (with the exception of Pell grants and State Scholarships) should now be applied to your account. If your account is missing aid that you are anticipating and it is not deferred on your most recent bill, contact our office to determine the necessary steps to get the aid applied.

Purchase an MBTA pass for the spring semester.

Students may now purchase MBTA passes for the spring semester at a discount. The deadline to purchase passes at a discount is January 9, 2025. Visit the MBTA Passes and Parking Permits pageĀ for more information.

Have you moved? Update your local and home (permanent) address information.

Enrolled students may update their location information at any time via Boston College's institutional Agora Portal, under the "Account and Personal Info" section. Applicants to Boston College may update their location information through the application system appropriate to their program or may contact their program's Office of Admission.

Review notices and disclosures.

Students should review theĀ Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) information on our Notices and Disclosures page.

Sign a Direct Loan Master Promissory NoteĀ (if applicable).

Complete Title IV Authorization (if applicable).

Federal regulations require that Title IV funds credited to your student account be applied only to cover allowable charges, unless Boston College obtains authorization to apply these funds to all other charges on your student account. You may submit your authorization electronically atĀ www.bc.edu/myservices. For more information, visit theĀ BillingĢż±č²¹²µ±š.

Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (if applicable).

Enroll in direct deposit for student account refunds (if applicable).

We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit theĀ BillingĀ page for instructions and more information.
